  • Perrott’s Folly
    Ikon is re-opening Perrott’s Folly next month with a specially created exhibition by Birmingham-born artist Sofia Hulten. The Folly is alleged to be inspiration for Tolkein’s Two Towers and is a Birmingham landmark, so this is a rare chance for the public to enter and appreciate the interior of the building.
  • B-Hive
    Birmingham’s marketing community has come together to launch ‘B-Hive’, a graduate scheme intended to nurture the next generation of Birmingham’s creative talent.
  • Grand Pianoramax featuring Mike Ladd
    Birmingham Jazz has joined up with Leftfoot in hosting the an event featuring Award winning New York based pianist Leo Tardin on Saturday 18th March at the Hare & Hounds, Kings Heath. Spoken word legend Mike Ladd will join Tardin on the debut Birmingham gig.
  • Residency in Rotterdam
    Artists based in the West Midlands region are invited to apply for this exciting opportunity to spend three months at Het Wilde Weten in Rotterdam. The selected artist will be provided with accommodation and studio space, travel expenses and a living allowance of £3400. Deadline 30th March
  • Birmingham School of Architecture blog
    First year students at the Bham School of Architecture have started a blog. Its mostly image links at the moment, but its looking good so far. They will document the students projects, school events, and anything that interests them.
