Boxer Design score an international hit

November 1, 2008 at 6:11 pm

See that? It’s the new McDonalds packaging (”the biggest packaging initiative in the history of the brand” - AFN) and it’s been designed by Boxer Design, straight outta Birmingham.

According to the Boxer blog, the packaging (much like overenthusiastic fast food munchers) will be rolled of stores:

first in the UK in November, and then the rest of the 118 countries around the world soon after. McDonald’s serve 58 million people a day around the world, that’s alot of people enjoying McDonald’s food and hopefully the new packaging

Ok, so the fact that it’s for McDonalds irks my every Guardian-reading, mung bean-eating, sandal-wearing, beardy, pinko liberal instinct but even so, it’s a pretty impressive bit of news.
