Artsfest 2008 announce their programme

With just (only just) over a week to go before Artsfest the programme of events has just been released on the website.
With 500 or so events scheduled, picking through the programme isn’t easy but there is at least a ‘recommended’ section on the homepage. When I get a chance I’ll have a flick through and pick out the bits that I think look most interesting.
Volunteers are still needed, by the way.

Unfortunately the ‘Recommended’events are all events elsewwhere – from august.
I’ve spend (too long) a while putting together a programme on a google map – as the dividing by geography in the official programme is a bit arbitrary.
Everyone can and is very welcome to edit and improve.
I also made my own programme (I only just found this blog entry and read about Jon’s) at http://www.dracos.co.uk/play/artsfest/ which is ordered by time instead of location and is searchable.
Did anyone see a band called Drag at the Flapper? Possibly THE most underrated band i have ever seen! They were fantastic! Has anyone heard of them or know what their website is? They were three girls and a guy, singer had pink hair!
Im gutted i missed out on a CD!

Yea, they were fantastic! I was there last night – they packed the room out! Cant believe I havn’t seen them before in Brum, really amazing! Will have to go to the next one! totally recommend checking them out!!!
