Thanks to Peter Bacon for emailing me about this – the Cobweb Collective is “a voluntary organisation promoting innovative live improvised music in Birmingham” and they have a website that I rather like:

They put on regular live events and also put out a monthly podcast called the Cobcast (downloads coming soon).Â They’ve also made a short documentary with bits of interviews, live footage and so on that’s worth a gander:
