The CBSO today announced the appointment of Andris Nelsons as music director starting next year, taking over the post from Sakari Oramo (made famous by Lord Rattle of Simon).

Andris’ first public concert will be on November 11th at Symphony Hall. Tickets are free and will be available from October 29th.
