Following from speculation (and that’s all it is as far I can tell) that this years Artsfest is to be the last one, The Stirrer reports on plans for a new bi-annual music festival based on feasibility studies being undertaken by Audiences Central at the moment. Here’s the discussion thread.
“My tuppence: we need lots of targeted, specialist festivals that people will travel for. Spread them over a couple of months and call it the Birmingham Festival if you like but keep them unique and autonomous”.
hold it, say, november to february, & you could even call it ‘winterval’…
